Job summary

Arista Advanced Pet Care in Dallas, Texas, is seeking an Emergency & Critical Care Technician. In this role, you will support ER and Critical Care doctors with patient assessments, triaging, and stabilization of incoming emergency patients. Candidates should have experience in emergency care and be dedicated to compassionate patient service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Veterinary Technician License preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures.
• Ability to lift and carry animals and equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort working with potentially ill and difficult-to-handle animals.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with ER and Critical Care doctors for patient care.
• Monitor critically ill patients and report findings.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Communicate with pet owners about their pet’s condition.
• Ensure a clean environment in the ER and treatment areas.

Skills

Emergency and critical care experience

Excellent communication skills

Compassionate patient care

Ability to handle critically ill patients

Basic proficiency in medical software

Ability to multi-task

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Veterinary Technician License (LVT, RVT, or CVT)
