American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Travel RN for a high-acuity Emergency Department on nights, requiring ACLS, PALS, BLS, and De-Escalation certifications. This 13-week assignment features a 7:00 PM–7:00 AM schedule with a 4:1 patient ratio, Epic EMR, and 24-7 on-site security.

Candidates must hold an active RN license (LA or compact) with certifications; BSN preferred. Local eligibility within 50 miles applies. Housing allowance, travel and licensure reimbursements are offered.

Competenze

• Active RN license in state of employment or compact (LA or compact license required)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications via AHA required
• De-Escalation certification required
• 1 year of experience in Emergency Dept nursing preferred
• BSN preferred

Mansioni

• 13-week travel assignment on the night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Works in a high-acuity Emergency Care unit treating strokes, cardiovascular issues, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, and sepsis cases
• Some trauma cases seen, though unit is not trauma-designated
• Nurse to patient ratio of 4:1
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Uses Epic EMR
• 24-7 onsite security
• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administers medications and treatments following appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients and families
• Ceil blue scrubs required as part of dress code
• Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius for local positioning eligibility
• Returning CHRISTUS employees who worked in a non-travel role must have a 6-month separation before starting a travel assignment
• Temp-to-perm conversion may be possible for this role
