Job summary

Emerus is seeking a Night Shift ER Technician to provide technical assistance and patient care across a 10-bed emergency department in Texas. You will collect vitals, draw labs, assist with procedures, and help ensure patient safety and privacy throughout your shift.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with relevant medical training and current BLS certification; ACLS/PALS are highly preferred, with English fluency a must for effective communication with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• High school diploma or GED required; completion of Medical Corpsman, EMT-P, AEMT, LP, EMT-B, nursing enrollment, or ER tech/CNA pathways as applicable.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS/ALS and PALS strongly preferred in most markets.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document clinical data including vitals, height/weight, intake/output, pulse oximetry, specimens.
• Collect lab samples and perform testing per policy and CLIA/COLA regs.
• Assist with patient activities and provide wound care.
• Ensure patient safety and privacy; maintain aseptic technique and infection control.
• Assist with admission, transfer, discharge; maintain clean, safe environment.
• Prepare patients and chaperone during exams; support restraints and emergency data collection.
