Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This full-time night-shift role offers exposure to a high-volume ED with more than 40 beds and 100,000 visits annually, plus a 36-hour work week and a third weekend rotation.

You will provide patient-centered care using the nursing process, pursue a Nurse Residency program for new grads, and may qualify for a sign-on bonus up to $20,000.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• BSN or MSN preferred
• Students completing an accredited nursing program may be considered
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• NIHSS, TCRN, SCRN, TNCC, CEN, PALS, and ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide competent, patient-centered nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Apply clinical knowledge with sound judgment and professional standards
• Support transition to practice through nurse residency and structured orientation
