Job summary

Prime Healthcare’s Dallas Medical Center in Farmers Branch, TX seeks an EMT to join our emergency team for nights, full-time hours. You will perform basic life support, initial patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and assist with high-quality, rapid care as patients arrive in the ER.

Responsibilities include triage support, documentation in the EMR, collaboration with nurses and physicians, and ensuring equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic EMT training required.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire.
• ACLS and PALS certificates current upon hire are required or maintained.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, immediate patient care using EMT training to provide basic life support and stabilize patients in a fast-paced ER.
• Perform detailed patient assessments to evaluate vital signs and medical history and communicate findings to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and allied staff to ensure coordinated care and efficient treatment plans.
• Assist in triage by assessing condition severity and prioritizing care according to clinical protocols.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, treatments and outcomes in the EMR.
• Inspect and manage emergency equipment to ensure readiness and safety of the emergency care environment.
