Job summary

Baptist Health Louisville is seeking a full-time EMT or AEMT to join the EMS Transport team on the night shift. The position is 36 hours over 3 days per week and involves patient assessment, care during transport, and coordination with receiving facilities.

Responsibilities include monitoring vitals, maintaining patient stability, documenting care and PCRs, and ensuring equipment readiness. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• EMT-Basic Certification by the Kentucky Board of EMS.
• EMT-Advanced Certification (AEMT) in Kentucky.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and identify emergencies.
• Provide compassionate care during transport and support to families.
• Monitor vitals, adjust treatments, and ensure patient stability.
• Safely lift/move patients and transport using EMS vehicles.
• Document assessments, treatments, and transports; complete PCRs.
• Coordinate with receiving personnel and report patient history.

Education

Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Certification

Kentucky EMT-Advanced Certification (AEMT)

BLS for Healthcare Provider (AHA/ARC)
