Job summary

Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a locum Emergency Medicine physician in the Kingwood area of Texas. This 13-week assignment offers a 19:00–07:00, 12-hour shift schedule with no-call coverage, at a Float Pool facility.

Start date is 11-02-26, with pay ranging from $260 to $285 per hour. Applicants should be Board Certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine or related fields, hold an active Texas medical license, and have at least 1 year of ED experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and comprehensive medical care to patients experiencing emergencies in the emergency department.
• Perform thorough patient assessments including history, physical exams, and diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose and stabilize patients with life-threatening conditions.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for acute medical and surgical emergencies.
• Perform emergency procedures such as suturing, wound care and splinting as needed.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (X-rays, CT scans) to guide treatment.
• Prescribe medications and manage pain effectively.
• Communicate with patients, families, and other clinicians to ensure coordinated care.
• Document care thoroughly in the medical record.
