Job summary

Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a locum Emergency Medicine physician in Webster, TX. The assignment runs for 13 weeks starting 10-19-26, with standard 5 shifts of 12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00. Compensation is $300–$310 per hour, with travel and lodging coverage options through Aya Locums.

The facility is an Acute Care Hospital. Board-certified ED physicians with Texas license and MD/DO degrees are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine or related boards (ABEM/ABIM/ABFM/AOA).
• Active Texas medical license.
• Typically 1+ year of ED experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, comprehensive emergency care to ED patients.
• Perform history, exam, and diagnostic evaluations.
• Stabilize and treat life-threatening conditions.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for acute emergencies.
• Perform emergency procedures as needed (suturing, splinting, etc.).
• Order/interpret diagnostic tests to guide care.
• Prescribe medications and manage pain.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and staff.
• Document care in medical records.
• Maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
