Job summary

Emergency Medicine Physician needed for a locum tenens assignment in Texas City, TX. Work 12-hour rotating shifts in a busy ED with a 36-hour work week and a start date of 10/18/2026 for 12 weeks.

This opportunity offers weekly pay ranging from $5,780 to $6,850 with strong clinical support, near the greater Houston area. Board certification is preferred, with independence and fast‑paced decision making essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year Emergency Medicine experience.
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine preferred; strong providers may be considered.
• Comfort working independently in a busy emergency department.
• Ability to manage a high-volume, fast-paced patient environment.
• Competency with common ED procedures, including intubation, procedural sedation, chest tube placement, CPR, suture repair and central line placement.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality emergency care for a broad range of acute medical and traumatic presentations.
• Evaluate and treat patients with chest pain, abdominal pain, shortness of breath and injuries.
• Perform essential emergency procedures to stabilize and treat patients.
• Work in a high‑volume ED with 36 hours per week on a rotating schedule.
• Collaborate with the ED team to ensure safe and timely patient care.
