Job summary

Flex in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking a Night EDM Operator to setup and operate wire and sinker EDM machines. Inspect work pieces and create setups or fixtures for accurate setups.

Reporting to the Tooling Manager, the Night EDM Operator will maintain the EDM department, perform preventive maintenance, inspect finish items, and keep machines running during the night shift.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of Wire EDM set experience and ability to set up and operate machines.
• Experience on CNC machines and ability to run more than one machine at a time.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Night shift availability.
• Proficiency with hand tools and inspection gauges.

Reporting to the Tooling Manager, the Night EDM Operator will be responsible to setup and operate wire and sinker machines. Inspect work pieces and create setup or fixtures for accurate setups.

Schedule: 0200p-1030p M-F

What a typical day looks like:

• Maintain the organization and cleanness of the EDM department.
• Perform preventive maintenance on the machines in the department.
• Inspect and document finish items.
• Keep machines going.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• 1-3 years of Wire and sinker EDM set experience
• Experience on CNC machines and able to operate more than one machine at a time
• Common hand tools and inspections gages
• General tolling equipment background
• Able to read and interpret blueprints
• Night shift availability
