Job summary

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our Sacramento, CA program. This full-time position offers a 3rd shift (Thu-Mon, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 40 hours per week, with pay ranging from $24.00 to $26.00 per hour.

Opportunities to advance once RBT certification is obtained. DSPs support individuals with developmental disabilities in community, family, and facility settings, implementing behavior plans and delivering person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, speak, write and comprehend English.
• Must have desire to help others reach their fullest potential.
• Completes PPD testing and Physical Examination upon hire and minimally every 2 years thereafter, if required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed.
• Ability to model, teach, and encourage socially-acceptable behaviors as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct care and implement behavior plans.
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings.
• Train individuals in personal care, communication, and social skills.
