Job summary

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our Escondido, CA team. DSPs support individuals with developmental disabilities across community, family, and home settings and assist with behavior plans, personal care, and social skills development.

We offer $26-$28 per hour, with a pay increase of $2 per hour after earning RBT certification. Candidates must be 18+, have a HS diploma or GED, and complete DSP1/DSP2 within one year, plus RBT certification within one year.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Verifiable High School Diploma or GED.
• Dual Diagnosis experience preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Six months of direct care experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, focusing on behavioral services.
• DSP1 and DSP2 certifications must be completed within 1 year of hire.
• RBT certification must be completed within 1 year of hire.

• Interact with and support individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings.
• Assist with direct care and implementation of behavior plans.
