Dohrn Transfer Company in St. Louis, MO is hiring a Full Time Dockworker to move freight between trailers and storage areas. Start times include 12am, 4am, and 1pm with pay of $25.18/hr, increasing to $28.09/hr after the first year. Benefits include health, vision, dental, 401k matching, life insurance, and more.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading per DOT rules, reading labels, and maintaining safety. This is an at-will position at the St. Louis terminal.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School completion or equivalent.
• Must pass a NON-DOT physical and functional screen.
• Must consent to a pre-employment drug screen with a negative result.
• Ability to read/write English and perform simple math.

Responsibilities

• Convey freight to/from trailers and storage areas by hand or with forklifts.
• Load and unload freight on/off trucks per DOT requirements.
• Sort and secure items on trucks or on the dock to prevent damage.
• Lift 50 lbs frequently and 100+ lbs occasionally.
• Operate material handling tools safely and efficiently.
• Follow safety rules and company policies; complete paperwork daily.
