You will coordinate dispatch for owner-operators and brokered carriers, manage planning and fleet support, and handle overnight shifts in our office with on-call rotations.

You will learn our custom dispatch systems and play a key role in delivering impeccable service to our live-entertainment clients, requiring sharp communication and strong attention to detail.

Harrisburg-based Clark Transfer is looking for a new member of our Operations team serving the transportation and logistics needs of the live entertainment industry. As a Night Dispatcher you will work as a member of a tight knit 24/7 Operations team with a deep commitment to customer service, meeting customer needs while maintaining strong and positive relationships with our fleet of dedicated owner operators and agent carriers. This position will work in the office for the overnight shift, in addition to rotating on-call.

The duties of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Dispatching dedicated owner operators and brokered agent carriers, including participation in scheduled on‑call rotations; and
• Planning and fleet management support; and
• Booking brokered repositioning backhauls to get our owner operators efficiently to their next scheduled moves; and
• Perform other duties as assigned.

As a member of the Operations team, you will learn all facets of our dispatch operations, including our custom computer programs.

Requirements

This work requires:

• A minimum of 2 years of transportation dispatch experience;
• A fast and willing learner, able to assimilate, retain, and use complex systems with lots of moving parts;
• A self‑starter, able to operate effectively on your own and as part of a close‑knit team;
• The ability to work and thrive in a high‑pressure, high‑stakes environment in which change is a constant, and time is always of the essence;
• A demonstrated willingness and ability to go “above and beyond” to resolve questions and solve problems creatively;
• Exceptional attention to detail;
