Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our team in Macon, GA. This full-time role involves supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living activities and community outings.

Responsibilities include transportation, personal care, meal preparation, documentation in Therap, and coordinating with the ISP to promote growth and independence. Must have a valid driver’s license and CPR/FA certification.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license, CPR/FA.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation and supervision for individuals to meet employment, recreation, and activities.
• Performs vehicle inspections and safety training for resident transport.
• Performs housekeeping duties (kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, floors).
• Remains compliant with meal preparation per healthcare plans and diets.
• Provides personal care and assists with ADLs.
• Documents all notes in Therap and related programs.
• Ensures ISP goals are followed and completed.
• Completes medications administration and MAR entries.
• Tracks health data and vital signs.
