Job summary

Lowe in Macon, GA is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide essential care to individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health needs. The role covers personal care, housekeeping, and community activities, with a 3 PM-11 PM schedule Monday to Friday.

You'll support daily living, monitor health, document progress, and follow ISP/POC plans. Must have CNA, CPR/First Aid, CPI, and pass background checks; valid GA driver's license and ability to lift 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with individuals with dual diagnosis.
• CNA license required to perform personal care tasks.
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED certifications.
• CPI certification required.
• Background checks and TB screening required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
• Assist with medication administration and health monitoring.
• Prepare meals and assist with nutrition as needed.
• Provide support to promote independence per ISP/POC.
• Transport individuals to activities as needed.
• Complete required training within 60 days.

Skills

2+ years experience with dual dianosis
