Wellstone in Huntsville, AL is seeking an Entry Level Behavioral Health Technician to support clients at River Crossing Withdrawal Management, providing supervision, basic living skills training, and documentation in the EHR. Shifts are 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday–Friday, with up to 25% travel.

Candidates need a High School Diploma, strong communication and organizational skills, and CPR/SAMA certification or ability to obtain them.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiar with computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Good organizational and documentation skills.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• CPR and SAMA certification or ability to obtain.

Responsabilités

• Provide consistent instruction, guidance and reinforcement to the clients.
• Assist with coordinating client activities and document progress in the EHR.
• Complete 30-minute bed checks with notes, shift observations and reports.
• Report any client or staff incidents or injuries to the supervisor promptly.
• Ensure clients comply with rules and maintain a safe environment.
• Demonstrate safety skills including drills and crisis interventions.
• Promote a positive work environment with clients and families.
• Attend staff meetings, in-service trainings and stay current on certifications.
• Report to work on time and submit timesheets and leave requests on time.
• Report facility or maintenance issues and assist housekeeping.
• May lift clients with assistance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
