Job summary

SDI Presence LLC is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to support customer IT operations, maintaining server, storage, and end-user computing environments to meet SLAs. This role includes account management, patching, backups, and documentation, working closely with senior engineers to grow technical proficiency.

The position requires 3 days onsite at O'Hare International Airport and 2 days remote, with potential after-hours/on-call duties and airport screening obligations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years in systems administration, help desk, or desktop support.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+ or similar are preferred; Windows Server-related certs are a plus.
• Experience with Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO) and Linux server administration a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and enterprise backup solutions.

Responsibilities

• Respond to, triage, and resolve incidents within SLA using ITIL practices and ServiceNow.
• Administer Windows Server and Linux systems; manage accounts, GPOs, and file/print services.
• Support Active Directory user/group management, password resets, and access provisioning.
• Monitor system health and performance with enterprise tools; escalate anomalies.
• Apply patches and updates according to maintenance schedules and change control.
• Assist with imaging, deployment, and configuration of desktops, laptops, and VMs.
• Collaborate with senior staff on infrastructure projects and upgrades.
