Job summary

Southwest Allen County Schools is seeking a Custodian to perform general cleaning and maintenance in district facilities, with responsibilities for keeping classrooms, hallways and grounds clean and safe. The role includes operating floor machines and vacuums, and assisting staff and students as needed.

We offer a 12-month position with full benefits; hours are 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM with a $0.25 shift differential and potential overtime depending on school activities and weather.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning and custodial duties desirable.
• Ability to use hand tools, machines, and equipment such as floor machines, vacuums.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds.
• Maintains equipment in functional condition and provides custodial assistance to students, teachers, visitors and others as necessary.
• Performs related duties and general maintenance work as required.
