Job summary

SBM is seeking a Custodial Lead to oversee cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas and provide guidance to custodial staff. The role involves working with the Custodial Supervisor on scheduling, training, and safety compliance.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience, CPR/First Aid certification, and a valid driver's license if required. Evening shifts and drive to multiple sites are possible.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and how to share with team.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties as scheduled.
• Provide work direction to custodial staff as directed by Custodial Supervisor.
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance and repair.
• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Monitor and maintain supply inventory.
• Assist in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Perform quality, service and safety inspections.
• Report incidents, hazards, and personnel issues to supervisor.
