Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic custodial methods, supplies, and tools.
• Ability to read operating instructions and write reports.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures.

Responsabilités

• Sweep, dust, clean, mop, wash, and/or polish classrooms, restrooms, offices, gymnasiums, lunchrooms, and other areas as assigned.
• Clean, move, and arrange furniture and equipment as required.
• Clean and pick up papers and other debris on grounds and empty trash into proper containers.
• Report major repairs needed or damage to school property promptly to the chief custodian or the principal.
• Assist in maintaining the outside appearance of the building, including sweeping, removal of debris, and removal of snow.
• Water assigned planted areas.
• Lock and unlock doors and gates as assigned.
• Assist in floor maintenance and operate related equipment as assigned.
• Make minor repairs to buildings and equipment as required or requested.
• Set up and tear down of building equipment for activities.
• Implement universal precautions when cleaning bodily fluids.
• Unpack and distribute supplies when assigned.
• Take down the U.S. flag on each school day when assigned.
• Dispose of trash, rubbish, and waste as directed in compliance with local laws and ordinances.
• Assist chief custodian with tasks when requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the chief custodian, the principal, the Director of Buildings and Grounds, or other administrators.

• Ability to work with supervisors, fellow custodians, students, staff, parents, and other community members
