Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP in Kentucky is seeking a Custodial Lead II to oversee cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas and provide work direction to custodial staff.

The role includes performing janitorial duties, operating cleaning equipment, scheduling training, maintaining inventory, and reporting safety issues to the supervisor. Shifts Sun-Wed 6p-4:30a; Thurs-Sun 6p-4:30a; pay $17-$18/hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year related experience.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for this position based on business needs.
• Completed all safety and task training certification.
• Forklift certification may be required.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willingness to share with team.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties.
• Provide work direction and assistance to custodians as directed by Custodial Supervisor.
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in scheduling and training staff as needed.
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
• Track equipment inventory, maintenance, and repair.
• Schedule clean up and repairs as needed.
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
• Track and maintain supply inventory.
• Assist Custodial Supervisor in purchasing cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Perform quality, service, and safety inspections.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Report employee personnel and customer issues to supervisor.
• Monitor employees for proper use of PPE, and supplies.
• Correct at risk behavior and report to the supervisor immediately.
• Provide recommendations for corrective action on areas that need improvement.
• The ability to drive to various work locations, customer sites, or company facilities may be necessary to perform the essential functions of this position.
