The Morris School District is seeking a Custodial Night Foreman to oversee the custodian staff on a night shift. The role requires supervising the shift, ensuring safety and proper cleaning of facilities, and coordinating with the Building Custodial Foreman and Director of Buildings and Grounds.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Black Seal Boiler License.
• Ability to supervise and evaluate custodial staff.
• Available to provide needed service after hours for emergencies.
• Demonstrated ability to work well with others.
• Any alternatives deemed appropriate by the Board of Education.

Responsabilités

• See that the daily work schedule is completed and report problems.
• Be responsible for custodial staff on shift and their safety.
• Know building operations and procedures to maintain the building.
• Make emergency or temporary repairs until permanent repair is made.
• Be responsible for securing the building after shift.
• Protect the Board's interests when the building is in use by outside groups.
• Evaluate custodial staff performance and help evaluate new staff during probation.
• Supervise custodians on proper use of equipment and safety procedures.
• Instruct custodians how to secure the building after hours and understand basic mechanical functions.
