Job summary

Morris County Vocational School District is seeking an Evening Custodian for a 12‑month, full‑time role with a 3–11 p.m. shift. The position, anticipated to begin January 4, 2027, involves preventive building maintenance and routine cleaning tasks across school facilities.

The ideal candidate has a general knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment; a Black Seal License is preferred or must be obtained within two years. Training is provided if no prior experience is required.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of cleaning and sanitary methods, materials, tools, and school-related equipment.
• Black Seal License preferred or must be obtained within two years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance of building and grounds areas.
• Sweep, dust, damp mop, scrub, wash, and buff floors.
• Open and secure buildings and assist supervisory personnel as needed.
• Dispose of refuse and maintain clean walkways, snow removal as required.
