Job summary

Trinity Health Grand Haven is seeking a Part-time Radiologic Technologist to perform CT and radiographic procedures using ionizing radiation in a patient-focused setting. The role offers night shift hours and a potential sign-on bonus for eligible hires.

You will mentor student technologists in clinical rotations and ensure ALARA safety throughout examinations. Responsibilities include CT scans of all types, precise patient positioning, and adherence to established protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Radiographic Technology.
• ARRT registration in Radiography (RT(R)) with CT registration within one year.
• Current ARRT RT(R) certification without restriction.

Responsibilities

• Performs CT Scans of head, body and extremities.
• Performs interventional CT scans for biopsies or drainage.
• Accurately position patient and adapt for trauma, age, body habitus, or pathology.
• Selects CT factors (mA, kVp, slice width, helical vs non-helical) for quality images.
• Adheres to ALARA principles and radiation safety for all staff and patients.
• Performs basic office/clerical duties and uses Hospital Information system.
• Places orders and charges in the Hospital Information computer.
• Gives preparatory instructions for tests and obtains patient demographic details.
• Obtains relevant clinical history to support procedures and coordinates with physicians.
• Obtains required laboratory values prior to procedures.
• Maintains inventory of supplies for patient care.
