Qualifications

• ARRT approved Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Technology program completed.
• Must be currently registered by ARRT, CAMRT, or NMTCB.
• Maintain continuing education credits; at least 2 CT credits per biennium.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient by establishing intravenous medications and administering contrast media.
• Produces CT scans by entering patient data and programming the scanner.
• Evaluates image quality and records all images.
• Uses radiation protection and infection control procedures.
• Schedules and charges patients and facilitates physician/patient inquiries.
• Explains exams, gathers patient history, and ensures patient safety during the procedure.
