Job summary

Sweetser in Brunswick is seeking a part-time Crisis Residential Counselor to support adults in a psychiatric crisis. The role works on nights, provides crisis stabilization services and helps clients meet treatment goals in a safe, respectful environment.

You will document progress, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and promote independence so clients can function post-discharge. Requirements include a high school diploma and MHRT I certification or eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; MHRT I certification or eligibility within first year.
• 1 year of direct care or crisis intervention experience preferred.
• Lived experience in mental health or substance use is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis stabilization services to adults in psychiatric crisis.
• Interact with clients in a supportive, non-judgmental manner.
• Write concise progress notes aligned to treatment goals.
