Sweetser is seeking a Crisis Residential Counselor Relief in the Saco/Biddeford area to provide crisis stabilization services to adults in psychiatric crisis. The role operates on Sweetser's Crisis Stabilization Unit in Saco, with a focus on engaging clients in a supportive environment to prevent decompensation or hospitalization.

Opportunity to advance to Crisis Residential Counselor II after 6 months with the required training and certifications; completion brings a $1 hourly increase.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and experience working in mental/behavioral health.
• One year of direct care experience with adults in a related field.
• MHRT I certification or eligibility and completion within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis stabilization services to adults in psychiatric crisis.
• Interact with clients in a professional, supportive and non-judgmental manner.
• Write concise progress notes aligned with treatment goals and objectives.
• Maintain safety, boundaries and a collaborative team environment.
