Job summary

Penrose - St. Francis Health Services in Colorado Springs seeks a Night Crisis Assessment Specialist to assess clients with ED staff and clinicians, providing critical disposition recommendations.

You will perform face-to-face or tele-health triage, manage assessment records, and analyze data to support crisis intervention. Required are a Master's in a behavioral health field, 2 years of direct clinical care, DSM proficiency, and licensed clinical credentials.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, nursing or related behavioral health field.
• Two years of direct behavioral health clinical care experience.
• Competence with DSM diagnostic criteria and treatment planning.
• Demonstrates clinical and ethical professionalism, conflict resolution and critical thinking.
• Transportation for response to evaluation sites.
• Current license in the state of employment in one of listed disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality and timely assessment and referral services.
• Develops safe and clinically appropriate disposition recommendations.
• Assesses suicide, violence, and elopement potential.
• Applies state mental health statutes criteria for involuntary holds.
• Ensures continuity of patient care by implementing referrals and resources.
• Responds to dangerous situations with de-escalation to protect patients and staff.
