PCC Community Markets is seeking a Night Crew Lead to supervise Night Crew staff and assist in grocery department operations, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and displays. The role emphasizes maintaining sanitation, safety, and adherence to merchandising plans.

The candidate will support organic standards, operate equipment per PCC guidelines, and ensure top-tier customer service. Overnight shifts and weekend availability are required.

Overview

The Night Crew Lead oversees the Night Crew staff. They assist in the operation of the Grocery Department by placing grocery orders, receiving and checking incoming orders, storing and rotating products, arranging credits from vendors and processing invoices. They stock and face grocery displays with attention to quantity, quality, timeliness, appearance of displays and the merchandising plan.

Main Job Responsibilities

• Oversees and coaches Night Crew staff
• Assists in the operation of the grocery department by placing grocery orders, receiving and checking orders, storing and rotating products, arranging credits from vendors and processing invoices
• Stocks and faces products throughout the store
• Stocks and faces grocery displays with attention to quantity, quality, timeliness, appearance of displays and the merchandising plan
• Helps maintain integrity of organic standards for the bulk department
• Operates all equipment in accordance with PCC standards
• Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met
• Models and provides excellent, professional customer service
• May be asked to handle price changes and signage

Qualifications and Skills

• Available to work the overnight shift, including weekends
• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
• Previous grocery and ordering experience required
• Excellent leadership, teambuilding and communication skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting 10-40lbs on a regular basis
• A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required
• If hired into this role, a Certified Food Protection Manager certification (for example ServSafe) is required (paid for by PCC)
• If hired into this role, a CPR/First Aid Certification is required (paid for by PCC)
