Job summary

Amsted Rail is seeking a CNC Specialist to create, optimize, and run CNC programs using Mastercam for HMCs, VMCs, and turning centers in a hands-on production environment. You will perform full setups, prove-outs, and in‑process adjustments to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.

You will also provide operation support across shifts, coach operators on best practices, and drive tool-life improvements, strict quality at the source, and TPM participation.

Qualifications

• Experience programming and optimizing CNC schedules for multi-axis machines.
• Proficient with Mastercam or equivalent CAM software.
• Ability to perform first article and in-process inspection.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and precision measurement.

Responsibilities

• Generate, optimize, and run CNC programs for HMC, VMC, and turning centers.
• Perform full machine setups and prove-outs.
• Coach operators on best practices and safety.
• Drive cycle-time reductions and tool-life improvements.
