Job summary

CMI Group is seeking experienced Night Shift CNC Machinists for its south Phoenix facility. Positions include CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, Swiss Screw, and ID/OD Grind work in an aerospace and defense environment. Location is 3617 E La Salle St, Phoenix, AZ 85040.

The role requires U.S. citizenship or valid permanent resident status. Responsibilities include setup, operation, tooling, inspection, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Night shift carries a 20% differential pay.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience running CNC lathes, mills or grinders.
• Strong GD&T and inspection standards understanding.
• Able to read blueprints and customer drawings.
• Proficient in setup, load/unload, and tool offsets.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines for production jobs with minimal supervision.
• Perform setup, loading, indicating, touch-off and verify operations.
• Conduct daily machine maintenance and keep a clean workspace.
• Record inspection data and verify dimensions using basic inspection tools.
• Communicate issues to leads and follow safety protocols.
