Job summary

AdventHealth is hiring for a part-time nursing support role in Hendersonville, North Carolina. The position supports the RN in delivering patient care, ensuring safety and quality, and engaging with patients and families.

Required CNA or PCT certifications and BLS/CPR, plus 1+ year bedside experience preferred. Night shift responsibilities include maintaining a safe environment and participating in performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• CPR/BLS required
• CNA or equivalent Patient Care Technician certification required
• 1+ year PCT experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture
• Functions in clinical emergencies
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives
• Follows isolation guidelines and uses protective equipment; maintains safety standards
• Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
• Assists in delivering patient care as a team member under RN supervision
• Documents and reports all procedures per policy
• Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities
• Assists in identifying patient needs
• Performs other duties as assigned
