Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist for the 7on/7off night shift on the Ohio Market, Float. The role requires independence to manage full pharmacy operations during night hours, including verification, dispensing, and automation system operation.

You will collaborate with care teams, ensure compliance with regulations, mentor students, and support cost-effective pharmacotherapy, while maintaining patient-centered service in a busy main campus setting.

Qualifications

• PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited college.
• State licensure as Pharmacist and reciprocity within 90 days.
• BLS through AHA/Red Cross and immunization certification within 90 days.
• ACLS or PALS certification within 1 year if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, patient-centered, evidence-based medication services.
• Independently manages full scope of pharmacy operations during night hours.
• Verifies medication orders and dispenses per regulations.
• Operates automated medication systems and IV/sterile preparation.
• Provides bedside clinical and operational support during high-acuity events.
• Documents services accurately and timely.
• Educates and trains students, residents, caregivers, and patients.
• Ensures compliance with national accreditation standards.
• Promotes cost-effective patient care and policy adherence.
• Escalates issues to pharmacy leadership, IT, and facilities as needed.
