Job summary

OU Health is seeking a Charge RN - Registered Nurse for the Comprehensive Care unit on nights. The RN II will provide skilled nursing care, document responses, assist physicians, monitor physiologic data, administer meds, and manage IV infusions while coordinating with a multidisciplinary team.

Requires 3–5 years of RN experience, an OK RN license, and BLS certification; specialty certificates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: 3–5 years of patient care as an RN.
• License/Certification: Current RN license in OK or compact state; BLS on hire; specialty certs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Aligns nursing practice with OU Health standards and values.
• Assumes accountability for a patient or group of patients.
• Documents responses to interventions and updates physician orders.
• Assists physicians in exams and minor procedures.
• Monitors patient data and intervenes as needed.
• Administers medications and manages IV infusions.
• Delivers care competently and mentors others.
• Communicates care plans with patients and families at discharge.
• Delegates tasks to clinical support staff and seeks coaching when needed.
