Job summary

Baptist Health in Louisville, KY is seeking a Charge Nurse for Labor & Delivery on a full-time night shift. This entry-level management role coordinates care on designated shifts and provides leadership to the unit staff within the Kentucky Nurse Practice Act.

The Labor and Delivery unit handles about 3,000 births yearly and offers 24/7 anesthesia, neonatology, and OB hospitalist support. The Charge Nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and participates in

Qualifications

Active Kentucky RN License is required.
Associate’s degree in nursing is required.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) required.
2 years previous experience in NICU, Newborn Nursery, or applicable Neonatal experience required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate care on designated shifts for the Labor & Delivery unit.
Provide leadership to unit staff in patient care.
Promote positive patient outcomes and quality of care through governance participation.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
Act as a role model and participate in ongoing professional development and hospital governance.
