UofL Health in Louisville, KY seeks a Charge Nurse for the Medical Center Southwest ED, nights 7P-7A. You will support the Clinical Manager and Nursing Director in daily unit operations, staffing, and patient flow, while upholding professional nursing standards.

You will mentor staff, participate in performance evaluations, drive quality improvement, and promote compassionate, patient-centered care across shifts. Magnet initiative involvement and strong teamwork are encouraged.

Formación

• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school (Required).
• BSN from an accredited school (Preferred).
• A minimum of 6 months frontline patient care experience (Required).
• One year of frontline patient care experience (Preferred).
• Active Kentucky RN License or compact license to practice in Kentucky (Required).
• BLS certification (Required); ACLS certification preferred depending on department.

Responsabilidades

• Actively contributes to staffing and resource needs within the department’s budget and schedules accordingly.
• Serves as a role model for customer relations and monitors unit service; rounds on customers.
• Participates in employee evaluations, counsels and coaches staff per policy including time/attendance.
• Participates in the review and investigation of occurrence reports and develops action plans.
• Acts as a clinical resource, may assist with education and staff scheduling; supports patient flow and productivity.
