Job summary

Core-Mark, a Performance Food Group Company, is hiring Delivery Driver – Hourly CDL-A in Canton, OH. Base pay is $28/hour plus component pay, with overtime after 40 hours and a 4-day work week potential.

Shifts typically start between 1pm–3pm for 12-hour days; benefits begin Day 1 and include stock purchase, 401K matching, education assistance, PTO, and more. The Driver delivers and unloads food products to customers, adheres to DOT regulations, maintains safety checks, and ensures accurate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months delivery driver experience.
• Valid CDL-A.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift; product generally ranges from between 10-35 pounds and up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location.

Responsibilities

• Performs all required safety checks (pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations; reports safety issues and/or repairs.
• Follows all DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Reports safety hazards and inspects trailer for proper loading and securing freight.
• Completes required paperwork accurately and legibly for freight.
• Delivers customer orders according to predefined routes and unloads products to designated storage areas.
• Obtains customer signatures and collects payments where required.
• Loads customer returns and secures trailer doors; ensures equipment and freight are secured.
• Performs hours-of-service logging and housekeeping duties; completes necessary paperwork.
