Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Truck Driver to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle, transporting live poultry or poultry feed to and from grower sites while adhering to DOT safety rules and company policies.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, a clean driving record, and the ability to work unsupervised in a demanding outdoor environment, including nights and weekends. Safety, accuracy, and reliability are essential to support our processing operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid Class A CDL with 1 year verifiable driving record.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety rules.
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Ability to work unsupervised and stay self-motivated.
• Strong work ethic and honesty.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all DOT regulations.
• Perform and document pre-trip inspections.
• Assist with loading and unloading trailer as necessary.
• Ensure secure load before movement.
• Maintain proper documentation (equipment, time, trips, weight).
• Clean and wash truck as necessary.
• Report truck and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
