Job summary

US Foods is hiring backhaul drivers who start at $27.81 during training and transition to pay based on mileage, stops, and cases averaging about $32.00 per hour. Schedule is Monday–Friday with 12 AM–3 AM starts, offering comprehensive benefits from day one and a strong culture of internal promotion.

The role includes driving safely between vendors, verifying freight and temperatures, and returning vehicles after routes.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license with DOT qualifications and endorsements.
• At least 6 months of commercial driving experience; 3 months in food/beverage delivery preferred.
• Must be 21+ and able to read/communicate in English.
• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive truck to vendors and drop-off sites.
• Verify freight on truck, required trailer temperatures and accuracy of freight with vendors.
• Return tractor and trailer to division when route is completed.
• Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection.
