Job summary

Hillcrest Health & Living is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Assistant / Medication Aide for Hillcrest Silver Ridge in Gretna, NE. Part-time nights (10:00pm–6:00am) with every other weekend include medication support and daily living assistance.

The ideal candidate will provide respectful, dignified care, help with daily routines, monitor residents' conditions, and document accurately in the EMR, while building trusted relationships with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience providing personal care in assisted living, memory support, senior living, healthcare, or a similar setting preferred.
• Caring, resident-centered approach to daily support and medication assistance.
• Strong communication with residents, families, nurses, and team members.
• Ability to observe changes in resident condition and report concerns promptly.
• Calm, flexible, and professional in changing or stressful situations.
• Strong attention to safety, dignity, and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide medications to residents by following the five rights and accurately document medication support.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, adaptive devices).
• Take vital signs as ordered and report out-of-range findings to nurse management.
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing or shifts.
• Assist with meals and dining, guiding residents and ensuring accountability.
• Complete resident documentation in the electronic medical record as required.
• Support resident activities and create meaningful engagement opportunities.
• Perform general cleaning and maintain a safe, organized environment.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members.
