Job summary

Hillcrest Health & Living in Gretna, NE seeks a compassionate Personal Care Assistant / Med Tech to deliver medication support and daily living assistance for residents in an assisted living setting. You will work 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., building relationships and supporting independence with a patient, respectful approach.

You’ll document care and vital signs in our EMR, collaborate with nurses and the care team, and help residents stay active and engaged while upholding safety and dignity.

Qualifications

• Previous Med Tech or CNA role preferred.
• Experience with aging adults in assisted living or memory care.
• Compassionate and respectful approach to personal care.
• Strong attention to medication administration, vital signs, and documentation.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with residents and staff.
• Ability to recognize changes in a resident’s condition or behavior.
• Encourage independence while providing appropriate support.
• Dependability and consistent follow-through.
• Team-focused attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete medication passes according to regulations and resident preferences.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living per care plan.
• Support bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and personal-care needs.
• Obtain and document vital signs and weights as scheduled.
• Complete monthly resident summaries and required documentation in the EMR.
• Assist with resident laundry and daily living tasks as scheduled.
• Spend meaningful one-on-one time with residents and communicate concerns to the team.
• Assist with cleaning, bedmaking, organizing, and bed-to-activity transportation.
• Support meal service and remind residents of meals as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure a positive resident experience.
