Job summary

The Highgate Care Home is seeking a Care Assistant for night shifts on a bank basis in London. The role involves supporting residents with personal care, nutrition, and social activities, while maintaining care plans and reporting changes per regulations.

We value motivation, positivity and strong communication; previous care home experience is desirable. Flexible patterns, paid induction, and DBS & uniform provided are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
• Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation.
• Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.
