Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Boutique Retail Associate for the hospital boutique in Towson. Under minimal supervision, the Associate serves as a store key holder, handling opening/closing, inventory, cashiering, and backhouse retail tasks.

You will assist patients with wig consultations, support visual merchandising, order supplies, and prepare deposits. Prior retail experience and strong customer service skills are required.

Qualifications

• Some college preferred; a combination of education and relevant job experience will be considered.
• At least 2 years’ retail experience, including inventory management.
• Knowledge of basic cash register, POS functions and computer programs (i.e. Excel).
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and multi-task.
• Ability to train volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service with special attention to clients with health challenges.
• Performs cashier functions, rings up sales, and reconciles daily receipts.
• Assists patients with wig consultations and special orders; schedules salon appointments.
• Assists in visual merchandising and regular rotation of inventory; keeps floor stocked and appealing.
• As a Key Holder, opens/closes procedures and sets up store as requested; supervises volunteers.
• Assists in receiving and marking new merchandise and organizing storage areas.
