Job summary

LAUKOA seeks a Boiler Operator to ensure continuous, safe, and efficient operation of boilers, heating systems, and related equipment at a Charleston, SC facility. The role requires monitoring, maintenance, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations. Shift is 2300–0800 with DHS/background suitability checks.

Knowledge of water chemistry, combustion control, and HVAC systems is preferred. Eligible candidates must be a U.S.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating commercial or industrial boiler systems.
• Knowledge of boiler operation, water chemistry, combustion control, and safety procedures.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and basic mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret gauges, schematics, and operating instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust boiler systems to maintain prescribed temperatures and pressures.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and inspections on boilers, pumps, and valves.
• Record daily readings, maintain operational logs, and report abnormal conditions.
• Diagnose and resolve operational issues and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Conduct water treatment testing and chemical adjustments to ensure system efficiency and safety.
• Adhere to applicable facility safety procedures and regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, and PWS Section C.5.G).
• Respond to emergency situations related to heating or boiler system failures.
