Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician I for Marlborough, MA on the night shift (11:00 PM–7:00 AM, Mon–Fri with rotational weekends). The role focuses on repairing and maintaining lab equipment, installing new instruments, and training staff in proper instrument use.

Qualifications

• Ability to repair and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Document service activities in accordance with licensing requirements.
• Train lab personnel on proper instrument use.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance, repairs and calibrations of laboratory equipment.
• Maintains documentation of service performed for regulatory compliance.
• Maintains physical inventory of repair parts.
• Prepares location for new equipment and ensures utilities are adequate.
• Installs and tests new equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Instructs laboratory personnel on proper instrument use.
• Maintains calibration equipment used on laboratory equipment.
• Coordinates outside service requirements for timely repairs.
• Monitors work by outside service organizations.
