Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree in mental health or addiction treatment setting preferred.
• Current certification in First Aid/CPR preferred.
• Training in motivational interviewing a plus.
• Training in Trauma Informed Care a plus.
• Recovery coach training a plus.
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel) and knowledge of community resources.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to clients in a manner that promotes safety, comfort, and the therapeutic environment.
• Ensures the cleanliness of facility through sanitizing, dusting, deep cleaning, etc. all client areas.
• Assists clients with activities of daily living; attends to client behavioral problems and provides assistance in crisis intervention.
• Observes and manages urine drug testing and breathalyzer screening.
• Facilitates program or facility meetings in the absence of the Program Manager.
• Maintains confidentiality of client records.
• Maintains established institutional policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, and safety, environmental and infection control standards.
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in service meetings and workshops.
• May provide liaison with clients, families of clients, or external facilities and agencies.
