Job summary

Hygea Healthcare in Middle River, MD is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician for our 50-bed facility. You will support and monitor clients and help keep the environment safe and clean while coordinating with clinical staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
• Associates degree in mental health or addiction treatment setting preferred.
• Motivational interviewing training and Trauma-Informed Care training a plus.
• Recovery coach training a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to clients ensuring safety, comfort, and a therapeutic environment.
• Maintains cleanliness of the facility and assists with activities of daily living.
• Observes and manages urine drug testing and breathalyzer screening.
• Facilitates house meetings in the absence of the Program Manager.
• Maintains confidentiality of client records and follows policies.
