Job summary

Riverside Mental Health and Recovery Center in Hampton, VA is seeking a Psychiatric Technician for the nights labour pool in the Intensive Treatment Program (ITP). The role involves direct patient care across ages, intake screenings, and coordination with the treatment team.

Requires 4 twelve-hour shifts in a 6-week cycle, including weekend work and one summer and one winter holiday. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of behavioral health experience; CPR/BLS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1 year behavioral health experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS and First Aid certifications required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients across age groups seeking psychiatric or chemical dependency treatment.
• Communicate patient and family needs clearly to physicians and care teams.
• Complete intake screenings and observations upon arrival.
• Assist with daily living activities and monitor patient safety per policy.
• Support care coordination with referral sources and team members.
