Job summary

Vintage Grocers in Malibu, CA is seeking a Night Baker to prepare, bake, and package a variety of fresh bakery products during overnight hours. Shifts begin between 3am-5am and vary with needs and holidays.

You will follow recipes, maintain food safety standards, manage inventory, and work with the bakery team to meet production goals while ensuring product quality for customers each morning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Previous baking or grocery bakery experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and production instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake breads, rolls, pastries, cookies, cakes and more.
• Operate bakery equipment: mixers, ovens, proofers, slicers, packaging machines.
• Follow production schedules to maintain inventory and freshness.
• Package, label and date products per standards; maintain cleanliness.
• Rotate inventory using FIFO; report issues to management.
• Assist with inventory counts and cost-control practices.
